Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, diagnostic evaluations, and treatment planning.
- Assess and diagnose a variety of illnesses, injuries, and chronic conditions.
- Initiate, review, revise, and manage treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical findings.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests, laboratory studies, and screening procedures.
- Prescribe medications and medical devices within scope of licensure and DEA registration.
- Educate patients regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, preventive care, and follow-up needs.
- Arrange referrals, consultations, and therapeutic services as appropriate.
- Complete medical record documentation accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with company policy.
- Conduct medical record reviews to support accuracy, compliance, and continuity of care.
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA, HITECH, OSHA, and all applicable federal and California healthcare regulations.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, care coordination, and medical staff meetings as needed.
- Work collaboratively with physicians, clinical staff, office leadership, and administrative teams.
Required Qualifications
- Current and unrestricted California Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license.
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Current DEA certificate or ability to obtain prior to start.
- Board certification in applicable specialty, such as Family Practice or Primary Care.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Experience in primary care, family medicine, internal medicine, or a similar clinical setting preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently while collaborating with the care team.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and patient education skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced primary care environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with chronic care management, preventive care, and adult primary care.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and timely chart completion standards.
- Prior experience working in a multi-provider primary care office.
- Strong understanding of California healthcare compliance requirements.
Compensation: $150,000.00 - $210,000.00 per year
