Position: Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon
Location: Kissimmee, FL

Key Responsibilities


  • Provide surgical and non-surgical care for patients with traumatic injuries
  • Participate in emergency general surgery call rotation
  • Perform life-saving procedures in high-acuity situations
  • Collaborate with specialists in critical care, orthopedic trauma, neurosurgery, and emergency medicine
  • Participate in trauma quality improvement programs and registry activities
  • Contribute to resident and medical student education (if academic center)
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR


Qualifications


  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certification/Eligibility in General Surgery
  • Fellowship training in Surgical Critical Care or Acute Care Surgery preferred
  • Current Florida medical license
  • ATLS certification (Instructor certification preferred)
  • Strong clinical and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment


Preferred Experience


  • Minimum 2 years post-fellowship experience in trauma or acute care surgery
  • Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center
  • Familiarity with trauma registries, ACS verification processes, and quality improvement practices


Work Schedule


  • Rotating schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Shared trauma call coverage
Compensation: $500,000.00 per year
